The 5th NGS Students’ Symposium L.O.R (Life, Opportunities, Research) 2013 was held on Jan 25, 2013 at University Hall Auditorium.

L.O.R. 2013 showcased the diversity of research topics undertaken by NGS-ians, through 12 oral presentations and 21 poster presentations. It was an excellent platform for our young scientists to share their findings and hone their presentation skills. Participants of the symposium were introduced to new frontiers in computational science, nanotechnology, material science, sustainable energy, bioengineering and medicine through this one day event.

A big “Thank you!” to the Organizing Committee and all presenters who have made this event a success.

• Best Poster: Michal Dykas (Super-resolution Scanning Helium Ion Microscopy for Biological Imaging)
