1)    Singapore Graduate Programme in Neuroscience SGPN

    • Neuroscience – the scientific study of the nervous systems in short
    • SGPN, a programme assembling top investigators
      • to establish Neuroscience research that requires multidisciplinary knowledge and expertise, spanning computer science, robotics, nanotechnology, interactive & digital media, and emerging behavioral disciplines in the social sciences
      • to equip students with the knowledge and expertise to break new grounds in Neuroscience research
    • specially for talented students with backgrounds in Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, and Psychology
    • a taste of what to expect .. Neuronal Signalling, Behavioral & Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Neurobiology, Techniques in Neuroscience, Brain Disorders and Repair, Computational Neuroscience and Neuro-engineering, etc.


2)    Computational and Systems Biology

    • an interdisciplinary field that applies the techniques of computer science, applied mathematics and statistics, to address biological problems – that has revolutionsed the landscape of modern biology and bio-medical research
    • a programme that links up various research initiatives from NUS, NTU, Duke-GMS, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, A*STAR, including genomic sequence analysis, proteomic data analysis, hylogenetic analysis, imaging data analysis, population genetic, etc.
    • research in focus span virus transmission, vaccine development, cancer treatment and prevention, stem cell research, aging problem, etc.
    • the only programme specializing in Computational and Systems Biology in NUS
    • specially for talented students with major in life sciences, mathematics, or computing


3)    Interactive & Digital Media

    • Interactive & Digital Media IDM – the media of combining digital and interaction technologies
    • interdisciplinary research that integrates social sciences, natural sciences & engineering, and computing
    • examples of fields of research: Arts and Creativity, Games Laboratory, Mixed Reality, Social Robotics etc.
