NGS Alumni Dinner 2010

The NGS Alumni and Commencement Dinner is an annual affair, to celebrate and welcome the fresh PhD graduates into the NGS Alumni Family.  Organized by NGS Alumni Ambassadors 2009 - Dr Stanley Ng, Dr Linda Lim and Dr Ismail Hanif, this year’s dinner was held on 26 Jul 2010,  at the Shaw Foundation Alumni House.  

A cordial ice-breaker organized by Dr Linda Lim brought trails of laughter as the alumni and NGS staff interacted freely with one another.  Dr Ismail Hanif in his heart-warming Alumni Speech, accredited the success of NGS to Prof Barry Halliwell (Deputy President (Research & Technology), who was present as the Guest-of-Honor, as well as Prof Li Baowen (Executive Director of NGS).   And Dr Stanley Ng wrote in the Alumni article about the dinner  …  “the arduous journey of attaining a PhD was never lonely as camaraderie with fellow NGS scholars and NGS staff was forged, which heightened the joyous moment to catch up with them again over the sumptuous alumni spread.”
