Korea is a relatively new country to consider for those interested in graduate programmes. Although Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) is relatively young in age (founded in 1986), it has been steadily climbing up the charts of world university rankings, and was ranked in the top 150 in 2009. In terms of rankings by research citations in particular, it has also achieved results which rivaled well-established research institutions.

In this event, POSTECH introduced its palette of graduate programmes to an audience comprising a mix of local and international students. In a increasingly globalised world, POSTECH will also see a wider diversity in its student population in the foreseeable future.
