The Certified Professional in Risk
Management Program CPRM is has set the industry standard
for risk professionals and decision-making studies in
Asia. It is conducted by the Asian Risk Management
Institute (ARiMI) - the leading Asian research and
professional development institute in Enterprise risk
management - in association with NUS. The programme is
tailored to deliver a solid, integrated,
cross-disciplinary understanding of key risk management
issues and best-practices for decision-makers regardless
of industry backgrounds.
It is a practical course, which develops professionals
to be able to combine a detailed understanding of Risk
Management fundamental concepts, practices and tools

Programme Assessment
For Professional & Knowledge Development:
Participants who have an interest in Risk Management and/or want to acquire risk management skills as part of their career development can register for the modules they are interested in. They will receive a certificate of participation.
For Professional Accreditation:
Participants seeking accreditation are required to register for core modules + either group I or II of elective modules and sit for the exams. The programme is assessed by a mix of 25% coursework and 75% examination. Coursework assessment is based on a variety of tasks, including individual essays and group reports.
The participants will be awarded by NUS Extension and the Asian Risk Management Institute, (ARiMI):
* the Professional Certificate in Risk Management upon successful completion of the examination for the core modules,
* the Certified Professional Risk Manager, CPRM designation upon successful completion of the coursework and all examinations for the core and elective modules.

The CPRM course content cover more than 75% of the ARM54 course curiculum (ARM, Asssociate in Risk Management, is a state-of-the-art professional development program in Risk Management created 30 years ago by the Insurance Institute of America (IIA) and is internationally recognized as the program of reference in Risk Management) and will ease your way to a pass successfully the ARM examinations should you wish to continue your development in Risk Management.
You can also further develop toward the FARM, Fellowship in Applied Risk Management The program is designed for leaders confronted with the challenge of making strategic decisions in a very volatile and complex business environment and need to broaden their Risk Management understanding at an organizational wide level and enhance their strategic risk decision making and change management skills.

Programme Structure
Core modules laying strong foundations for a comprehensive knowledge on Risk Management and elective modules covering and deepening specific areas of interests.
To complete the programme and obtain the CPRM professional designation, the participants need to attend over a 3 months period:
1) All the six (6) core modules first.
2) Then participants have the option to select 2 of electives module available in line with their specific interests.
Participants interested in an overall, holistic perspective on risk management and the practical implementations are advised to join all elective module groups available.

Training Method and Format
The programme follows a format that fosters interaction
and participation from the participants. It involves a
balanced mix of lectures, interactive case
presentations, group discussions, and problem-solving
exercises including a computer aided workshop; all with
a clear focus on real Risk Management issues in an Asian
context.

Registration Details
Participants have the option to attend all 3 module groups (Core modules 1 to 6 plus 2 elective groups, or, to attend only the core plus one of the two elective modules groups. There are 3 different combinations so that you can choose the one that best fits your needs.
