Synopsis

This course explores the use of visual images in a diagrammatic form to express concepts, reveal and explain patterns and relationships, and to simplify complex notions to their basic essences to solve problems.  The course will engage participants in the use of visual thinking techniques to enhance creative thinking and to unleash creative thinking capabilities for problem solving in ways that bring forth innovative, novel or imaginative solutions that are needed to address issues, problems and opportunities as they emerge.

This course aims to:

1.	Relate the use of visual images to problem solving
2.	Develop an understanding for the use of visual thinking as a problem solving strategy and creative problem solving tool

The course comprises practical exercises for skill practice, blended with lectures to develop understanding of the underpinning knowledge and theories.
