Company Law

Synopsis

Much of company law is based on cases decided by the Courts and not in the Companies Act. But, most executives, businessmen and managers have no access to information relating to the kind of legal issues that have practical implications for the businesses that they run.

This course is intended to give you an insight into the nature of liabilities within a company, the duties of company directors and the rights of shareholders, amongst other issues. Case studies will be used to demonstrate the practical effect of some of the legal rules that concern directors and shareholders.
