I'm Okay; You're Okay - Becoming More Assertive in the Workplace

Synopsis

Many fallaciously equate being assertive to being aggressive. Assertiveness lies between passivity and aggression. Being assertive is standing up for your own personal rights and expressing your beliefs without violating others' rights. Assertive people influence others in positive ways, are non-judgmental and adopt a proactive rather than a reactive approach. In this workshop, you will learn the various building blocks from enhancing your self esteem, listening skills to learning to say "No". From either a passive or aggressive person, you can progress to a more assertive person. This will increase your confidence and effectiveness in handling conflicts and constructive dialogue with others.

At the end of this 2-day interactive workshop, you will be able to clarify your rights as a representative of your organisation, communicate assertively and identify and overcome barriers to assertiveness
