Effective Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for SMEs

Synopsis

To succeed in today’s highly competitive environment, there is a need to manage business processes as efficiently as possible. Information technology offers many options to optimize business processes.ERP systems are integrated business transaction with its processing and reporting system that focuses on business processes.

ERP systems consist of modular application software related to areas of: sales order management, manufacturing, planning and execution, purchasing, warehouse and inventory management, accounting and financial management, human resources, eCommerce and customer relationship management which enable business to increase their productivity of critical component.

The goal of ERP is to support one-time entry of information and to make it available to all the participants within organization of all sizes. The introduction of an ERP system provides benefits that range from standardization and lower maintenance (one system instead of two or more) to easier and greater reporting capability, as all data is typically kept in one database.
