Welcome to NUS Extension – where learning never stops.
It is said that the 21st century belongs to the Asia Pacific region. Asia is expected to dominate the world economically, and enterprises wishing to capitalise on this growth will be setting up presence here. As such, corporations in Asia will need to not only compete in terms of business, but also for talents.
Companies here are also recognising the fact that they are experiencing a tough post industrialisation period which increasingly creates a strong desire to grow, retain and recruit talents as part of their corporate strategy.
Companies will need to relentlessly engage in this through encouraging their employees to maintain a state of continuous learning. Thus, Continuing Education & Training (CET) becomes a necessary part of an organisation. As the continuing education arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS) since 1966, NUS Extension (NEX) acts as a multi-active learning corridor between the University and interested learners from the community at large.
With access to the best of both worlds - finest academia and leading industry practitioners, we craft and deliver our CET programmes following a “real-world, real-learning” philosophy and on different facets for professionals, executives, leaders and entrepreneurs to meet their learning objectives.
Our belief in the purpose of continuous education as a means of training and learning for our participants has resulted in the many programmes that NEX offers in the areas of professional skills and soft skills. We know that in learning with us and in achieving their learning outcomes, they will be able to find new and innovative ways in which to sustain global competitiveness for their organisation while enabling betterment in their career and life. I therefore encourage you to join the NUS Extension community by participating in the real-world driven training programmes that we offer.
On behalf of NUS Extension, here’s wishing you every success on your route in pursuing continuous learning.
