NUS Extension... Where Learning Never Stops

NUS Extension (NEX) is the continuing education arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS), Asia’s premier university. Our mission is to make the NUS experience of excellence in higher education available to a wider community of interested learners.

As an integral part of NUS, NEX seeks to support the University’s philosophy for quality education and innovation. We are always keen to develop new ideas and ready to respond promptly and dynamically to lifelong learning needs. We endeavour to impart up-to-date knowledge and skills through Continuing Education & Training (CET) that maximises the potential of participants and sharpens their competitive edge, so as to help them stay relevant and better meet the ever- changing trends of the knowledge economy and work climate.

Leveraging on our University’s pool of academia and network of leading industry practitioners, we ensure that our CET programmes are not merely conceptually driven classroom lectures. Our training emphasises active and participative learning rather than passive assimilation. This is reinforced by real life case studies and scenario simulations which enhance the engagement factor. Together, these teaching methods are ensuring that concepts learned in the classroom are transferred to the workplace more quickly and effectively.
