Distinguished Scientist visited NERI and gave a lecture on Climate Change Trends and Future Scenarios

Prof. Ronald G. Prinn from Massachusetts Institute of Technology visited NUS and gave a lecture on CLIMATE CHANGE: A CHALLENGE TO SCIENCE, ECONOMICS, TECHNOLOGY and POLICY to invited guests on 9th Oct. 2012.

A world-renowned expert on atmospheric science, he shared recent global trends on various projects in atmospheric chemistry, biogeochemistry and climate science as well as their implications to future scenarios. He also discussed the integrated assessment of science, economics and policy in light of climate change.

The event was well-attended by students, professors, researchers and media. The lecture was jointly organized by NUS Environmental Research Institute and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with support from the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) of Singapore.
