MEWR Permanent Secretary visits NERI

Researcher highlights current research work on to MEWR Permanent Secretary Choi and colleagues.

Mr. Choi Shing Kwok, Permanent Secretary of Singapore's Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR), together with colleagues of PUB, and National Environment Agency (NEA) visited NERI and GE Singapore Water Technology Centre at NUS.

Mr Choi, the new Permanent Secretary of MEWR with effect from 1 July 2012, was the former Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport.

NERI has always had a good working relationship with MEWR, PUB and NEA. The visit serves as a good opportunity for NERI to renew the working relationships and update the new Permanent Secretary about NUS recent environmental research activities, initiatives and expertise. The visit ended with a tour of NERI state-of-the-art laboratory, Water Research Lab. at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), and also the facilities of GE Singapore Water Technology Centre at NUS.
