Abstract:
IT security may sound like a dry area for the laymen but for the insiders, there are huge market opportunities in this area as demonstrated by the large number of home-grown security companies, not just from Singapore but across the region. In Singapore, we continue to have new companies and potential technology spin-offs in this area from new corporate founders, university and research institutes. The theme will revolve around issues, challenges and emerging opportunities in IT security for both start-up companies and MNCs.

Proposed topics for panel discussions:

  • Issues, challenges and emerging opportunities in IT security for both start-up companies and MNCs.

  • What are the technology advantages of using local company other then costs and faster local support?

  • What are the current concerns of being a local security company? And how SITF and iDEA can do to help?
