Visit by Taiwan Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs Association, CYEA (31st Jan 2005)

NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC) received a group of 60 student delegates from the Taiwan Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs Association (CYEA). They were here in Singapore for a 6-day Study Tour with the objective to have a deeper understanding of local cultures and learn the differences between Singapore and Taiwan.

During this 6-day Study Tour, they visited National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Jurong Industrial Park, Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) and toured several Singapore tourism spots and streets such as Sentosa, Little India, Arab Street, etc.

In their visit to NUS, NEC held a seminar on the Singapore economy and entrepreneurship development. Several of our Techno minor students attended the seminar and held informal discussions with these delegates. Topics discussed ranged from daily works to campus life as well as entrepreneurial culture in Singapore as compared to the lands where the delegates came from, viz. HongKong , China and Taiwan.
