The July 2007 Summer programme on Entrepreneurship has attracted almost 50 students from Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Sun Yat-Sen University.
The 2-week programme provided an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about Singapore and how it has progressed into a modern city-state, understand how public policies were formulated, and gain an insight on business practices in Singapore.
The participants attended lectures ranging from Government & Politics, Economic Development, Human Resources Development to Entrepreneurship Development conducted by NUS professors and guest speakers from government and business communities. Dialogue sessions with entrepreneurs and visits to government departments, statutory boards and business corporations were also organized. Visits included Housing & Development Board, Singapore Exchange Ltd, Asia Pacific Breweries, New Water Plant and Cygenics.
Exciting evening activities were also lined up to bring the participants to local tourist attractions to experience the multi-cultural and vibrant city.
