The Conservatory Orchestra, conducted by internationally renowned Takuo Yuasa, returns to the Esplanade Concert Hall. Recognised both in his native Japan and throughout the world for his versatility and breadth of repertoire, Yuasa was also trained in composition, piano, cello, flute and clarinet. He leads the Conservatory Orchestra in Beethoven's heroic Leonore Overture No. 3 and Dvořák's masterpiece, the dark and passionate Symphony No. 7. The concert also features principal violist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Head of Viola Studies Zhang Manchin with Bartók's intense Viola Concerto.
