Award-winning composer and conductor Kawai Shiu leads the ensemble with works ranging from the 1970s to the present day.

Showcasing signature works by acclaimed contemporary composers Isang Yun and Douglas Knehans, and Conservatory student Wu Na's Culture’s Gift alongside former Yale student Michael Torke's earliest best known work, the concert is framed by the influential avant-garde John Cage’s Five²  which explores flexibility, unpredictability and a new sense of harmony. Kawai Shiu will also conduct the ensemble in his set of Three Seasons, including the premiere of Summer Ligature written recently in Singapore.
