Jenny Ang, Associate Director (Strategic Planning & External Relations), is responsible for assisting the Director in strategic initiatives in relation to institutional development, curriculum, research and events planning. She also oversees the marketing and publicity in the areas of institutional branding and profile building locally, regionally and internationally, as well as media relations.
Jenny was awarded the National Arts Council Bursary from 1998-2002 to pursue a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree at the Trinity College of Music, UK. Whilst in London, she studied piano under Philip Fowke. She had the opportunity to work in the office of the Royal Philharmonic Society, assisting in music administration leading up to the annual RPS Music Awards in 2002. She also holds a LTCL Diploma in piano performance.
In 1996-97, Jenny received the Hwa Chong Scholarship for her academic and co-curricular achievements in canoeing, for which she has also won several medals in national competitions. Jenny was also a member of the Handbell Choir at the Methodist Girls' School. Jenny first started work at the Conservatory in 2003 in the areas of academic affairs and provided academic counseling to students. Prior to her current appointment, she was Associate Director for Concerts & Events Office from 2004 to January 2011.
