Kenneth Kwok holds an Honours degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York and a Masters in Education in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
He was previously with the Ministry of Education as a secondary school teacher, Head of Department, Deputy Principal and Assistant Director, Curriculum Policy and Pedagogy. He received the national Outstanding Youth in Education Award from the National Youth Council and MOE in 2002 as well as the Prize for Leadership Learning from the National Institute of Education as part of the Leaders in Education Programme in 2010. He is currently the Director of Arts & Youth as well as Strategic Planning at the National Arts Council and sits on the board of The Little Arts Academy and the advisory councils for the MOE Singapore Teachers Academy for the Arts and the Singapore National Youth Orchestra.
Kenneth has conducted drama education workshops for students, teachers, artists and community workers both in Singapore and overseas, and has served as Adjunct Lecturer in Educational Drama at the National Institute of Education. He was also the programming committee co-chair of the inaugural Singapore Drama Educators Association International Theatre Arts Conference in 2011. Kenneth has written for online theatre and dance journal The Inkpot since 2002 and is currently its editor, in which capacity he sits on the national Life! Theatre Awards judging panel.
Kenneth is a Senior Volunteer Counsellor with Action for AIDS and has worked on community arts projects over the years with various arts groups.
