Before leaving Singapore to further her musical studies, Siu Yuin was the principal oboist with the Singapore Youth Orchestra and first prize winner of the 8th National Music Competition (Piano Open Section). After graduating with honours from Oberlin College, Conservatory of Music as a Piano Performance major, she went on to obtain a MBA from the University of Cincinnati extending her interests into arts administration. Subsequent exposure to the nonprofit and philanthropic landscape then led her to public policy studies at the University of Chicago on a Packard Fellowship with an appointment as a research assistant of the University’s Cultural Policy Center.
Siu Yuin’s professional experience extends into a variety of industries having worked at the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO), UBS Wealth Management, and Swiss Life. She is currently the Operations Director at Singapore International Arbitration Centre. A member of the SSO’s Artistic Committee, Siu Yuin remains an avid pianist and regularly performs in chamber music concerts.
