National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) was founded in 1931. It is a leading comprehensive university in Taiwan with more than sixty departments in nine colleges covering the fields of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Management, Medicine, Planning and Design, Sciences and Social Sciences.

Accommodation
Housing Options

Visa & Insurance
Consular/Visa Regulations

Students have to apply for a Visitor Visa (for less than 6 months stay), Resident Visa (for more than 6 months) at the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.

Resident visa holders must apply for Alien Residence Certificate (ARC) within 15 days following the date of entrance or the approval date of the resident visas at the National Immigration Agency. When applying for the ARC, one may simultaneously apply for a re-entry permit. The re-entry permit allows you to leave and return to Taiwan.

Health/Medical Insurance

Student should carry adequate accident and health insurance coverage with provisions for emergency evacuation/rescuer’s expense and repatriation for both durations of studies in Taiwan and travels within/outside Taiwan. A copy of a valid insurance plan must be provided upon registration.
