Accommodations
Housing Options

The TU Delft International Office can arrange housing for international MSc students, exchange students and international BSc students enrolled in the English taught BSc programme in Aerospace Engineering. After being admitted, you will receive information on how to arrange accommodation through the University. Accommodation is not guaranteed, however. The number of incoming international students is increasing, while the housing available remains limited.

TU Delft arranges accommodation in cooperation with the housing organisation DUWO. Both private and shared student units are available. All accommodation includes bed sheets, bedding and pillowcases, and a box with kitchen utensils for one. Almost all rooms are equipped with an internet connection and (shared) washing machines, and are close to the university (within three kilometres). There is some on-campus housing, but generally students live off campus.

Visa & Insurance
Consular/Visa Regulation

Please note that as of AY11/12 Semester 2 the visa application (entry visa and/or residence permit) fee has been increased to 600 Euros.  Please ensure that you can bear this cost before applying for SEP in the Netherlands.

TU Delft will mediate in obtaining visa and arranging health and liability insurance for non-EU/EFTA MSc and exchange students.

Health/Medical Insurance

Health and liability insurance cover are compulsory in the Netherlands. EU/EFTA students who have private health and liability insurance in their own country need to check whether this provides the necessary international cover. If it does not, you will have to arrange a private health and liability insurance that is valid before travelling to the Netherlands. Non EU/EFTA students need to take out insurance through TU Delft.

The insurance provided by TU Delft will cover any normal medical treatment that you might need. It will not, however, include the cost of treatment for existing ailments or the cost of hospital treatment when there are sound medical grounds for postponing the treatment until you return to your home country

Please refer to the Other Links Section for the relevant links to the university’s insurance policies.
