Studying in Lithuania

The higher education of Lithuania is made up of state and non-state universities or colleges. Studies are systematically organized in three cycles:

1st – Undergraduate studies (Bachelor)
2nd – Master’s and specialised professional studies
3rd – Doctoral, post-graduate, residency studies.

The academic year usually begins around September and is commonly divided into two semesters: spring and fall.

Students can hone their Lithuanian language skills by enrolling in the language courses available, or sharpen their skills by interacting with the locals during their daily life.
