| Studying in Hong Kong |
Hong Kong is home to eight government-funded universities offering dozens of major areas of study. English is the medium of instruction for most courses. Many universities offer crash courses in Chinese language for foreign students. A stimulating intellectual environment attracts high-caliber professors from around the globe. They and their students are renowned for excellence, including Nobel laureates, prize winners for new technology, literary giants, and linguists. Several Hong Kong institutions made the top 200 in both Newsweek and the Times Higher Education Supplement's World University Rankings since 2006. |
| Testimonial from students |
“I embarked on this journey seeking to experience living independently in a different environment away from home, but this overseas stint has ultimately proven to be much more than what I had expected... When will I ever have a chance to spend another four months of study at Hong Kong I really do not know, as it may never even happen again, but I am really glad that I took this opportunity. I am now proud to say that I definitely ‘stepped out’, and can now boast to have a complete and enriching undergraduate experience when I graduate. I have grown much, learnt much, experience much...” - Teo Chung Xian Jeremy, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences - |
“My five-month stay in Hong Kong has not only earned me self-independency but also broaden my perspectives and knowledge... I got to know many Hong Kong friends, as well as other exchange students from South Korea, China, Canada and Taiwan. We hang out together, study together and still keep in touch till now...” - Wang Jing Xuan Kay, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences - |
