Biosciences and Law are not open to exchange students. Please note that only certain combinations of subjects are possible. Students should explore potential combinations before applying. Should a particular subject combination not be possible, exchange students are still allowed to participate in courses of a subject for which they are not registered with the permission of the relevant professor. Please check with your faculty for its internal application deadlines. After you have been selected by and accepted your faculty’s internal offer, your faculty would give you the application instructions of the partner university. An online application to the partner university is needed. |

Housing Options |

Heidelberg University does not have its own Halls of Residence; however the University can help students get accommodated by putting them in touch with local agents and landlords. Students can rent accommodation off campus; types of accommodation available can range from an individual room to 2-3 room apartments. |

Consular/Visa Regulation |

A residence permit is required. In order to receive a residence permit, you need to present to the Ausländerbehörde (local foreigner’s registration office) a statement of financial support proving that you have at least € 650 to live on for each month of your stay.
