The Technical University of Munich (TUM) has a huge diversity in enrolment. It has a student population of more than 20,000, of which 19% are from overseas. This percentage is very high amongst other German Universities and is in line with TUM's effort to create international awareness. In addition to its high international student percentage, TUM founded its first ever Overseas-Dependence in 2002, the ‘German Institute of Science and Technology'. The head office is situated right here in Singapore. Founded in 1868, TUM is Bavaria's only remaining Technical University. Its continuous contributions to the state have helped bring Bavaria from an agricultural state to one of the leading industrial states in Europe. |
