University Joseph Fourier is one of the top universities in France. It provides students with its high-quality education, enabling them to gain strong professional skills. 17000 students are registered at UJF to study a wide range of disciplines covering sciences, technology, medicine and society.
UJF offers a variety of bachelor and master programmes (52 bachelor's degrees, 84 research-oriented or vocational master's degrees) and has 8 doctoral schools.
UJF is active within 70 laboratories and its top level research is developed in partnership with national research bodies and major international facilities. This high calibre research is divided into four main areas : Earth and Universe sciences, Environment and Society ; Life and Health Sciences, Chemistry and Bioengineering ; Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences and Technology ; Materials Science and Engineering.

Curriculum Structure |
|
University Stendhal adopted the LMD system in 2004.
L'organisation des diplômes se fonde désormais sur 3 grades : licence (L), master (M) et doctorat (D). The degree structure is now based on 3 degrees: BA (L), Master (M) Doctorate (D).
Each level of study is achieved through the acquisition of European credits ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).
Each semester of study is worth 30 ECTS credits.

Medium of Instruction for Classes |
|
Previous knowledge of French language highly recommended. Courses are taught in French.
Certification by French teacher at home university or by Alliance Française will be useful.

Housing Options |
|
Housing is guaranteed if the student applies before the deadline.
The application deadline for housing is:
-10th July for the first semester or the entire year
-15th November for the second semester
University Halls are situated on campus or close to the departments.
The types of accommodation are rooms in a conventional university Hall, room in a renovated university hall, rooms in a private home, studio flat or small flat.

|
Health insurance costs 198 Euros for one semester or the entire year. The University Health Center provides free consultations during regular office hours.
