| Studying in Denmark |
Denmark has a dynamic and informal study environment. Students are expected to play an active role in planning their studies, and to develop a critical and analytical approach to the subjects. Small seminars and working group activities constitute essential parts of most programmes. Classes taught in English are usually offered in more advanced levels, such as third year and master's courses. However, in some universities, if there are international or exchange students enrolled in a course, students can request for the course to be taught in English, even if it was not listed as an “English-medium” course in the student handbook. |
| Testimonial from students |
"Going on an exchange to Copenhagen, Denmark was the most eye-opening and memorable experience for me. I loved the living environment there very much, the pace of living was slower, this meant that I could take time to enjoy the beauty of nature and culture around me. Though I met with quite a number of unfortunate events, like losing my backpack while travelling, flights got cancelled and so on, I am glad to emerge through my experiences as being stronger and more independent. The most important takeaway lesson I learnt was to be open about the different cultures around the world; be adventurous enough to explore the world outside, and slowly you will be appreciating life and cultures across national boundaries." - Melissa Gan, School of Business - |
