Founded in 1902, Nanjing University is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in China.  It is located in Nanjing, a beautiful city known for being China's capital of six ancient dynasties and having a rich cultural heritage.

It is also a member of C9 League, an association of nine top Chinese universities.

Restrictions for Exchange Students

Most of the Business courses are not open to exchange students. For other specialties, most of the courses are taught in Chinese, except a few courses are taught in English. If the students are equipped with a certain level of Chinese proficiency, most of the courses are open to them.

Accommodation
Housing Options

On-campus accommodation:

International exchange students can stay in on-campus dormitories either in Gulou or Pukou campuses. The amenities include laundry service, Internet cafe, restaurant and a gym with ping pong tables. The dormitories come in standard single and double rooms, with each equipped with telephone lines, private bathrooms, television and air-conditioning

Visa & Insurance
Consular/Visa Regulations

A student visa is required (F visa of 180 days for 1 semester exchange with no physical examination required and X visa for 1 year exchange)

Apply at the Visa Service Center (22 Malacca Street) with the admission notice and visa application form (JW202) issued by Nanjing University.

Health/Medical Insurance

Students should carry adequate accident and sickness insurance coverage with provisions for emergency evacuation/rescuer’s expenses and repatriation for both durations of your studies in China and travels within/outside China.
