The teaching system is defined by various classes: lectures, practical exercises, proseminars and seminars which last one semester. Most lectures are held 2 hours a week and assessment is made either by a written or oral examination at the end of the semester. Practical exercises vary depending on the subject under study, with the emphasis on active participation. Seminars are mainly group discussions at an advanced level. Students write and present seminar papers which serve as a basis for discussions. Proseminars are where students acquire basic knowledge of work on academic/scientific papers which serve as a basis of discussions during these sessions.
