"Babes-Bolyai" University is a modern institution which acquired a remarkable fame by its long-time achievements at national and international level. It joins at present the specialty academic associations from Europe and America.

Located in a geographical area characterized by the presence of diverse ethnic and religious groups, "Babes-Bolyai” University adheres to a policy of multiculturalism, its students and teaching staff being Romanian, as well as Hungarian, German and Roma.

For foreign students coming to study in Romania and those who would like to get a Romanian Government scholarship must applications to the Ministry of Education and Research, the Department for Student Mobility, within the General Office for International Relations.

Language of Instruction

Courses are taught in Romanian with some in English. The University offers International Summer courses of Romanian language and culture for everyone interested in Romania and the Romanian language.

Housing Options

Students can choose to stay on campus or to rent a private apartment. Often, the application for campus accommodation exceeds the number of places available. Rent for a two-room apartment will cost between 180 and 250 EUR.

Living Expenses can be estimated at around €500, depending on life style and accommodation.
