The Technical University of Eindhoven (TUe) is one of Netherlands three universities of technology. It was founded in 1956 and currently has a student population of close to 7000 students. TUe's mission is built on three fundamental pillars: Research, Design and Entrepreneurship : Teaching Programs have strong links to the university's research ( Research ), new technological knowledge is used to design new solutions to a wide range of problems ( Design ) and these new ideas are made available to society ( Entrepreneurship ). TUe profiles itself as a globally as a European University and aspires to give quality education and conduct research that is of high international standards.

Eindhoven – De Kempen and De Peel

Being easily accessible with its international airport, Eindhoven , situated in the south of the Netherlands is still in a very central position relative to the larger cities like Amsterdam . The majority of Europe 's attractions can be reached within 1-hour flights. Eindhoven is situated very close to the famous ‘de Kempen and de Peel', a vast region of greenery which stretches into Belgium . Greenery and Nature can be found in abundance in Eindhoven and one can soak up the pleasant atmosphere and enjoy the local cafés and beer.

Language of Instruction

With the exception of all foreign language courses, lectures at TUe are held in Dutch. The University offers intensive Dutch courses before and during term time. Masters courses are taught in English.

Cost of Living

Cost of Accommodation can range from €300 to €600 per month depending on the types of accommodation chosen. For example, a single room with a shared kitchen (5 units per kitchen) starts from €300 per month, where as a 2-3 room apartment can start at €650 per month.

Living expenses are estimated to be at €7500 a year (€625 per month) which includes living expenses (food, travel, books, and social life), obligatory health insurance and tuition fees.

Upon arrival, students will also be required to apply and purchase a residence permit which costs €430 for Non-EU residents (€28 for EU-residents)

 
Housing Options

TUe does not have its own Halls of Residence however students generally stay in rented student houses. The University can help find suitable accommodation for students. Priority is given to International Master's Students. Students are also welcome to make alternative arrangements in other rented property.
