Founded in 1965, the University is a fairly new University, still in the stage of developing its range of courses. However, despite its few faculties, the University offers a variety of courses in fields of Science, Economics, Politics and Humanities. It closely monitors the industry and rapid developments in the science and technology field. Hence students will be exposed to the most recent technological concepts and ideas. The University's population of 9200 students has students and lecturers from all over the world; they have said to have around 80 countries represented in the University. Students are exposed to this cultural diversity and international knowledge base and hence will receive a well-rounded and informed education.

Konstanz

Konstanz is a lively University town, having a population of about 78,000, it is situated close to the Lake Konstanz and the river Rhine in the south of Germany . Konstanz is situated very close to Switzerland , Austria and Lichtenstein, making it a perfect place for tourists and foreign students as the neighboring regions can be reached very easily.

Language of Instruction

With the exception of all foreign language courses, lectures at the University of Konstanz are held in German. The University offers intensive German courses before and during term time.

Housing Options
The University of Konstanz has its own Halls of Residence; however places are limited. Applications must be received before the given deadline in order to secure a hall place. Students may also opt to rent accommodation off-campus. Types of accommodation available can range from an individual room to 3-4 room apartments.
