The University of Karlsruhe is the oldest Technical High school in Germany , yet one of the most active ones. With close to 15000 students and close to 200 professors, it is always at the fore front of technology. The University of Karlsruhe has seen the initiation of many major developments. Famous engineers and scientists have passed through the system of the University of Karlsruhe ; Carl Benz who pioneered the automobile was a Karlsruhe graduate and Heinrich Hertz, a professor of physics made his discoveries at the university.
Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe is situated in the south-west of Germany , close to the border of Germany and France . Karlsruhe is a culturally rich town. It has numerous theatres, museums, galleries and various cultural events such as concerts and other attractions. It hosts various festivals to celebrate a variety of arts they have in their town. Some include the museum and theatre festivals, the international festival of traditional costumes and a free open air concert.
Language of Instruction
With the exception of all foreign language courses, lectures at the University of Karlsruhe are held in German. The University offers intensive German courses before and during term time.
