Founded in 1829 with the chief aim to develop the industrial sciences, École Centrale Paris (ECP) has since produced graduates marked by their sense of innovation, team spirit and competence. One has only to look at the remarkable achievements of the “Centraliens” of yesteryear to be convinced of this: Blériot (1895), Eiffel (1855), Latecoëre (1906), Leclanché (1860), Michelin (1877), Peugeot (1895), Schlumberger (1907).
While their distinguished alumni have left their mark in the history of industrial development, the École continues to produce industry leaders today. The scientific and technical versatility of Centraliens has been ensured by the broad spectrum of scientific knowledge and the adaptability of the École and its teaching program to the requirements of industry.
