VisuelFounded in 2006 following the merger of 4 other schools namely; ENSPM, ENSSPICAM, ESM2, ESIM, Ecole Centrale Marseille (Centrale Marseille) is a school of top engineers in the making. It strives to train top-rank engineers with a solid scientific background in a wide range of disciplines. Centrale Marseille also provides an education with an international perspective, encompassing highly developed managerial and entrepreneurial skills or technical expertise. Graduates will be assured that they are capable of managing multidisciplinary teams, and able to anticipate and adapt to technological and environmental change after a sophisticated programme at Centrale Marseille.

Similar to the other 4 Ecoles Centrales, Centrale Marseille is made up of a 2-year broad-based multidisciplinary common core course, involving both scientific (chemistry, applied physics, physics, mechanics, mathematics, computer science, etc.) and management-focused, cultural and foreign language courses. The 3rd year course focuses on pre-specialisation in one of the previously studied courses.

Priding itself of being France’s second biggest centre for scientific research
and higher education, Centrale Marseille has more than 100, 000 students and is currently France’s leading centre for Microelectronics as well. Putting industry aside, Marseille boasts a rich cultural heritage and students can expect to study in an environment surrounded by impressive natural landscapes, historic towns and villages. Individuals who have a passion for sports are not neglected as a paradise for outdoor sports and activities await them, such as rock climbing and scuba diving in the Calanques natural park. Sailing, skiing and mountaineering are within the itinerary in the nearby Alpine region.
