Belgium in Brief

Although a laid back quiet country, Belgium has more history, art, culture and food specialties packed into it than many of its bigger louder neighbors. It is a much divided country, divided by pride and language. You will find the Germanic Flemings and the Celtic-Latin Walloons (French-Latin origin). However, having said that, the people of Belgium are very friendly and welcoming; tourists and visitors would hardly notice the divide.
