Founded in 1881 Tokyo Tech has 3 campuses (O-okayama Campus, Suzukakedai Campus, Tamachi Campus), Tokyo Tech has been very successful as a university specializing in science and technology, producing a great number of leading engineers and professionals in the fields of science and technology. Housing Options

Tokyo Tech has 2 dormitories for international students, Shohu Ryugakusei Kaikan (about 15 minutes' walk from Aobadai station in Kanagawa prefecture) and Umegaoka Ryugakusei Kaikan (about 20 minutes'walk from Fujigaoka station in Kanagawa prefecture)

Additional Information

Insurance:
International students who are staying in Japan more than one year need to join the National Health Insurance. The National Health Insurance section at the ward office(city office)where you did your alien registration will accept your application. There is also a medical fee support system for international students from the Association of International Education in Japan(AIEJ).
