Mandarin.

Restrictions for exchange students

MBA courses and some special programs in faculties (e.g. Language School) are not available to exchange students.

Housing Options

On-campus:
Students have to apply for accommodation online at http://www.fso.fudan.edu.cn/en/house.htm

Off-campus:

If on-campus accommodation is not available, the Overseas Students Exchange Section will assist students to source for private housing.

One recommended hostel is the Tonghe International Student Village, located at Wudong Road Lane 28, across the road to Foreign Students Dormitory. The rate is RMB70-90 per day. A deposit of RMB2,000 is required. (Tel: 86-21-65105187)

Accommodation during Semester Break:

Only available to exchange students staying for an academic year. Accommodation fees will be pro-rated.

Additional Information

Consular / Visa Regulations

A student visa is required (F visa of 180 days for 1 semester exchange with no physical examination required and X visa for 1 year exchange)

Apply at the China Embassy with the admission notice and visa application form (JW202) issued by Fudan University.


Health / Medical Insurance

Student should carry adequate accident and medical insurance coverage with provisions for emergency evacuation/rescuer’s expense and repatriation for both durations of studies in China and travels within/outside China.

Exchange students are required to purchase a compulsory health insurance in China at a fee of RMB400.


Airport Pick-up

Not available. Students have to make their own arrangement to the university.
