Peking University (PKU) Summer School International

What is this programme about?

Peking University Summer Programme offers courses which related to China's public policy, economy and trade, international relations, culture and philosophy, literature and art as well as a Chinese Language course. The English courses will be taught by distinguished professors and renowned experts from Peking University while the Chinese Language course will be organized by the International College of Chinese Language Studies.

Tours to selected historical and cultural sites in Beijing will be organized to provide the students with opportunities to experience Chinese customs and culture. They are able to fully experience PKU’s tradition of “Democracy and Science” and interact with PKU students on both an academic and personal level.

What are the eligibility requirements?

 
  • NUS undergraduates from any faculty who have completed at least one year of study at NUS prior to participating in this programme.
  • Students should not be in their graduating semester prior to participating in this programme.
  • CAP of 3.0 and above.
  • Students must not be a Chinese national.

 

Is a visa required?

Yes. PKU will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa.
Students are to consult the Embassy of China in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.

How do I apply?

Application Deadline: 1 April 2013

All applications are to be submitted via OPAS.

IRO will notify students about their application status by first week of April .
