What is this programme about?

NTU’s Global LEAD Summer Program is a four-week program taught in English focusing on character building, life empowerment, leadership and academic development. The program is designed to prepare its students to face the future challenges and opportunities presented in the ever-changing business environment which will influence and shape the students’ career paths, impact on society and future employment and entrepreneurship directions. The program also offers Chinese language course as an elective for students who wish to improve their Chinese language skill.

What is the academic content?

To supplement learning in class lectures, Global LEAD Summer Program has many off-campus opportunities such as team-building activities and community service projects. Cultural events include a one-day tour of Taipei and a three-day trip to Xitou. In addition, company visits to large Taiwanese corporations will be arranged on a regular basis. Students will also have the option to attend Studio Classroom’s Friday Night Live every Friday evening and service at the Taipei International Church located at Taipei American School every Sunday.


What is the student accommodation?

Dormitories located at a beautiful hilltop overseeing Danshui river, with cafeteria and amenities for student activities will be provided.

Please note, these are estimated expenses and actual expenses may differ based on price shifts and personal spending habits!

The program fee includes tuition, study materials and resources, airport transportation service, orientation, accommodation, travel insurance (NTD 1 million for the travel insurance and NTD100,000 for the accidental medical insurance), cultural events, company visits, 1-day tour of Taipei and 3-day trip to Xitou.


Is financial assistance available?

Yes. Students can apply for the NASA Enhancement Bursary* (by Financial Need) or NASA Enhancement Scholarship (by Merit). More information here.


Number of placements available?

Up to the discretion of Partner University.


What are the eligibility requirements?

 
  • Students should not be in their graduating semester prior to participating in this programme.
  • CAP of 3.0 and above. 

 

Is a visa required?

Students are to consult the Taiwan Embassy to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.
