What is this programme about?
Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), a world-class research university in science and engineering, invites outstanding undergraduates who want to participate in KAIST International Summer School (KISS). KAIST attracts outstanding students abroad, equipping them with fundamental knowledge and practical skills.

What is the academic content?
The new and improved program for the 2012 program has placed particular focus on creating interdisciplinary courses and culturally diversifying the faculty. To realize this, we have invited professors from abroad to come teach interdisciplinary courses in the fields of humanity, science and technology.

Academic credit MAY be available. Credit for the programme is strictly at the student’s discretion. Students interested in obtaining credit must work with their faculty for credit mapping. IRO does not apply for credit transfer on the students’ behalf.

Is financial assistance available?
Yes. Students can apply for a study travel grant from the International Relations Office.
Number of placements available?
Direct application to KAIST, number of placements dependent on KAIST’s admission policy for the year
What are the eligibility requirements?

Is a visa required?
Yes. KAIST will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa.
Students are to consult the Embassy of Korea in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.
