9th Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme 2012

The Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme is a prestigious programme spearheaded by the respective Ministry of Education (MOE) of Singapore and China. It aims to instill Singaporean students with a global perspective and understanding on China and its potential, and to expose the Chinese students to life and education in Singapore.

APRU Doctoral Students Conference

The APRU Doctoral Students Conference is a multi- and cross-disciplinary conference which allows doctoral students to benefit from sharing and learning with counterparts from different universities. Students present their research centred around an overarching theme.

AUN Educational Forum and Young Speakers Contest

The AUN Educational Forum and Young Speakers’ Contest is an annual two-week workcamp that aims to foster the ASEAN spirit through academic and non-academic activities. Hosted by a different member university and with a different theme annually, participants attend, engage and participate in such activities as round-table discussions, speakers’ contests, educational tours, cultural programmes and specially-arranged lectures.

ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum

The ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum is an annual event organised under the auspices of the ASEAN University Network (AUN). Aimed primarily at enhancing and strengthening mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation among ASEAN youths, the Forum provides a platform for students from AUN member universities to showcase their cultures and traditions through music, song and dance. This is a unique opportunity for youths in the region, not only to gain a better appreciation of their cultural heritage and that of others, but also provide a means of promoting stronger cross-border interactions and ties.

INNOVATE is an international academic conference for engineering, science, and business students that examines the relationship between technology, globalization, and leadership in the contemporary marketplace. NUS STEER Vietnam 2011

The International Relations Office (IRO) invites applications from NUS undergraduates to participate in the upcoming NUS Study Trip for Engagement and Enrichment (NUS STEER) to Hanoi, Vietnam, on 5 to 17 December 2011.

NUS STEER has organized trips to India and the Middle East in 2010. This is the first time that NUS STEER will be held in Vietnam and will focus on the theme of Social Entrepreneurship and Community Development.

Semester at Sea (SAS)

Add a truly global component to your college education. Operated by the nonprofit Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) and sponsored through the University of Virginia, Semester at Sea's worldwide itineraries offer rigorous coursework coupled with field assignments, service learning in 8-12 international destinations, and the skills necessary to compete in today's rapidly globalizing world. NUS students from all faculties have the option of participating in 15 week semester or 10 week summer voyages.

Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking
(TF LEaRN) Programme 2012 @ National University of Singapore

The Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking @ National University of Singapore (TF LEaRN @ NUS) is funded by the Temasek Foundation to promote student exchanges between NUS and partner universities in ASEAN, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The programme is open to NUS undergraduates who are Singapore Citizens to spend a semester at partner universities in ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as undergraduates from partner universities in in ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to spend a semester at NUS.

U21 Undergraduate Research Conference

The U21 Undergraduate Research Conference allows students from around the globe to present their research to a diverse audience of peers, faculty, and mentors from the U21 member universities.  Students from any discipline are welcome to join the conference for stimulating discussions and networking opportunities.  Seminars and social activities are also included in the programme.  At the end of the conference, students have the opportunity of publishing their research in the University of Virginia's undergraduate journal The Oculus.

U21 Graduate Research Conference

The U21 Graduate Research Conference aims to provide participants with an opportunity to develop a range of skills relevant to the research process. Delegates give talks, present posters, and produce short articles which are reviewed by other participants.  These experiences develop their communication skills and give them an idea of the peer review process.  Guest speakers are also invited to contribute to the discussions.

Warwick in Africa Programme

Warwick in Africa aims to enhance the education of young people in Africa and it has been achieving significant improvements in the quality of teaching – since its start up in 2006 WiA has now benefitted over 90,000 young Africans in South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana. The programme is also having a profound effect on the volunteers, increasing the proportion of them that decide to enter teaching in the UK.

Yale Visiting International Student Program (Y-VISP)

The Yale Visiting International Student Program (www.yale.edu/yvisp) is an honors program at Yale University, designed for undergraduates from partner institutions. Selected students will join the Yale undergraduate community for a full academic year (junior year).  You will enroll in Yale undergraduate courses and live with Yale students in one of 12 residential college communities.  You will also participate in extracurricular activities available to all Yale undergraduates.
