India: Internship Programme at YCH Group
What is this programme about?
YCH Group is Singapore’s largest home-grown Supply Chain Solutions Company. They are the leading integrated end-to-end supply chain management and logistics partner to some of the world's largest companies, including Dell, Motorola, Samsung, LG, ExxonMobil, Unilever, LVMH and Royal FrieslandCampina.
YCH Group has more than 50 offices across Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia, India, Vietnam and Korea.
The NUS – YCH Internship Programme in Chennai, India, provides interns with an opportunity to work in areas of Visual Communications or Analysis/Statistics.
When does the programme take place?
May to July semester break for 8 – 12 weeks.
Where does the programme take place?
Chennai, India.
What is the internship content?
Interns will be involved in projects on visual communications or analysis/statistics.
Academic credit MAY be available. Students interested in obtaining credit must consult their faculties about the procedures and requirements for credit mapping before embarking on the internships. Academic credit is at the sole discretion of the faculty. IRO does not apply for credit transfer on the behalf of students.
What is the student accommodation?
Students will be housed in shared apartment.
How much does the programme cost?
There is no programme fee involved. However, participants need to pay for their own living expenses. YCH will provide accommodation and transport.

Is financial assistance available?
YCH will provide accommodation and transport for participants.

How many placements are available?
1 in visual communications and 1 in analysis/statistics.
Is a visa required?
Yes. NUS and YCH will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa. Students are to consult the High Commission of India in Singapore to determine the specifics of the visa application procedures.
