Spain: NUS-UCAM/NEOSISTEC International Internship Programme


What is this programme about?

Established in 2003 in city of Murcia, Spain, New Technology Systems Ltd. (NEOSISTEC) is a Spanish company that provides technology platforms and solutions. Among its products are Mobile Applications, Unified Communication Systems, and System Administration and Device Management Advanced IT for businesses. NEOSISTEC’s clients include Vodafone, RIM Blackberry, Nokia, Apple, and Hallmark among others.

NUS undergraduate students will have the opportunity to intern at NEOSISTEC in Murcia, Spain for 3 months and involve in web development projects alongside web engineers at NEOSISTEC.

What is the internship content?

Internship responsibilities will include the following:

 
  • Development over Android, iOS, and Windows 8 platforms
  • Web, PHP, Simphony and HTML5 development
  • Asterisk VoIP development


Academic credit MAY be available. Credit for the internship is strictly at the student’s discretion. Students interested in obtaining credit must work with their faculty for credit mapping. A list of SEP faculty coordinators and administrators can be found here. IRO does not apply for credit transfer on the students’ behalf.

Please note, these are estimated expenses and actual expenses may differ based on price shifts, spending habits and personal travels.  


Is financial assistance available?

Yes. A monthly stipend of 300 Euro will be available. In addition, intern can apply for the NASA Enhancement Awards through IRO.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Any Faculty
CAP of 3.0 or above
Knowledge of web development, preferably PHP or other web scripting languages


Is visa required?

Students are to consult Embassy of Spain in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.

How do I apply?

  • A CV
  • A Statement of Interest specifying 1) Relevant background in web development (course work, previous internships) and 2) Samples of web development products created
  • Transcripts (unofficial transcripts download from MYISIS will be accepted. Screenshots of exam results will not)
  • A Reference Letter or Testimonial  
  • A copy of passport biodata page
