India: Internship Programme at Infosys Limited


What is this programme about?

Infosys is a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing with revenues of more than US$7 billion. The Infosys – NUS Internship Programme in India provides interns with an opportunity to work on high-impact projects involving strategy and research, and interact with business leaders and senior management. This exclusive programme can accept a maximum of 4 interns from NUS, including 1 intern in digital marketing.


When does the programme take place?

May to July semester break for 8 - 12 weeks.


Where does the programme take place?

Various locations in India, depending on the project. The digital marketing intern will be based in Bangalore.


What is the internship content?

Students can choose from the list of projects at http://www.infosys.com/instep/internship/projects/default.asp. There is one position in digital marketing that is open exclusively to NUS undergraduates.

Academic credit MAY be available. Students interested in obtaining credit must consult their faculties about the procedures and requirements for credit mapping before embarking on the internships. Academic credit is at the sole discretion of the faculty. IRO does not apply for credit transfer on the behalf of students.


What is the student accommodation?

Students will be housed in fully furnished apartments in the various internship cities.


How much does the programme cost?

There is no programme fee involved.

Infosys will provide return airfare, a monthly stipend (differs in each internship city), accommodation, transportation, visa fee and medical insurance. However, participants need to pay for their personal expenses.

How many placements are available?

4 in total, including 1 in digital marketing.


Is a visa required?

Yes. Infosys and NUS will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa. Students are to consult the High Commission of India in Singapore to determine the specifics of the visa application procedures.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they have proper entry documents for all countries they plan to visit as part of this programme!


What are the eligibility requirements?

 
  • Depending on the project, student must be majoring or have taken courses related to the project chosen
  • Students must have a positive work attitude
  • Students must NOT be in their graduating semester
  • Previous work experience in the job area is a plus
