Goldman Sachs 2012 Summer Analyst Internship Program

What is this programme about?
The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. Founded in 1869, the firm is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in all major financial centers around the world.
The Summer Analyst Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to learn about the finance industry by working side-by-side with professionals on projects undertaken by the firm. Students interested in the programme will apply directly to Goldman Sachs (see “How do I apply?” below), and should confirm all logistical arrangements with the firm before accepting their offer of an internship.
When does the programme take place?
The summer internships will take place during the mid-year academic break at NUS (i.e. between May to August 2012), for a period of about 10 weeks. Goldman Sachs will inform successful applicants about the exact dates and duration of the internship.

Interested candidates can apply to Goldman Sachs offices in the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
What is the programme content?
The programme includes a one-day orientation conducted by Goldman Sachs for you to learn more about the firm. You will also receive division-specific training designed to help you succeed in your division. You will be working on projects undertaken by the firm, and will be delegated significant responsibilities that you are expected to fulfill.
Students who are accepted for the programme should confirm with Goldman Sachs about accommodation arrangements, stipends (if any), visa requirements and an estimate of the cost of living (if internship is at office outside of Singapore), before accepting the offer from the firm.
Is financial assistance available?
Eligible students accepted for internship positions at Goldman Sachs’ offices outside of Singapore, may apply for the NUS Study and Travel Grant. Please visit this webpage for more details about the Grant.
