Who is the Internship host?

Dexa Medica has evolved from a small company established in 1969 to one of Indonesia’s largest ethical pharmaceutical companies at the beginning of the 21st century. Expertise for the promotion of health has been the foundation on which its founders built this Company.

Dexa Medica has end to end competencies in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Using the richness of Indonesian biodiversity, Dexa Laboratories of Biomolecular Sciences (DLBS) is doing drug innovation. Dexa has state of the art manufacturing facilities to produce quality products. The products are being distributed by Anugrah Argon Medica, a sister company which is one of Indonesian strongest national distribution company and has branches all over Indonesia

What is the internship about?

Location: Jakarta

Duration: 2-3 months/ May - July

 
  • Overseas Business Unit
    - Market study and analysis
    - Visibility study
    - Research into import/export requirements for specific products
  • Training & Development
    - Analyse training effectiveness
    - Develop training programmes for staff

 

What are the eligibility requirements?

 
  • Students in 2nd or 3rd year (3rd year preferred)
  • CAP of 3.5 and above
  • Suitable majors – Pharmacy, Business, Economics
  • Independent workers who are motivated, outgoing, communicative and able to work in a flexible environment
  • Interest in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage

 

What does the company provide?

 
  • Students receive an allowance of about SGD 250/ month
  • Lunch is provided at the company cafeteria
  • Company provides assistance in finding housing

 

What is the student accommodation?

Housing options include Guesthouse and hotels in vicinity of Company office.

Is financial assistance available?

Is a visa required?

Yes. NUS and the company will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa. Students are to consult the Embassy of Indonesia in Singapore to determine the specifics of the visa application procedures.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they have proper entry documents for all countries they plan to visit as part of this programme!
