Vietnam: Internship Programme by Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion


What is this programme about?

The Centre for Social Initiatives (CSIP) is a Vietnamese non-governmental and non-profit organization, which supports the emerging social entrepreneurship sector in Vietnam. CSIP was established in 2008 in response to the gradual emergence of organisations that were seeking to adopt entrepreneurial approaches to some of the social and environmental challenges existing in our country and the region. CSIP aims to provide direct nurture and support to these organisations in order to maximise their chances of success; CSIP also works and engages with other stakeholder to improve the operating environment for social enterprises more generally. When does the programme take place?

May - July (3 months)


Where does the programme take place?

Orientation at CSIP in Hanoi Subsequently, the intern might be deployed at the social enterprises in Hanoi or North Vietnam.


What is the internship content?

Interns will be responsible of the different projects by CSIP. The projects involve IT, Social Impact Management, and Business (Marketing, Accounting, Business planning, Finance and Human Resource).


What is the intern accommodation?

Interns will be responsible for sourcing for their own accommodation for the duration of the internship. CSIP will help in providing leads to enable interns to identify suitable housing options.

What are the eligibility criteria?

 
  • Students who have completed at least one year of study at NUS prior to participating in this programme.
  • Students should not be in their graduating semester prior to participating in this programme.
  • Students majoring in the following areas:
    • IT
    • Social Impact Management
    • Business (Marketing, Accounting, Business Planning, Finance and Human Resource).


Is a visa required?

Yes. The company will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa.

Students are to consult the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.
